Registrations are now open for the annual NZ Association for Philosophy Teachers (NZAPT) Philosophy in Schools Conference.

We will be meeting in Christchurch this year: 26-27 September, Rangi Ruru Girls’ School. Cost $95

Conference Theme:

Philosophy Education: Love & Diversity; Freedom & Responsibility

Keynote Speakers:

  1. Farid Ahmed – Victim and widow of the March 15 attack; Mr Ahmed has been teaching Islam for 21 years.
  2. Darryl Macer – Legacies of Love project, bioethics education
  3. David Seymour – Euthanasia. Free-Speech proposals.
  4. Jack Copeland at University of Canterbury – Artificial Intelligence
  5. Mike Grimshaw also from UC Religion – Philosophy of Religion
  6. Sir Robert Jones – Fake news, Libertarianism (TBC)

Resource Sharing sessions – methods, evaluation, networking, activities.

Fully- catered: Morning-Tea, Lunch, Afternoon-Tea.
